About Alan (he/him)

Alan Stracey is a full time ADHD coach specialising in high-performing adults, helping them to create sustainable, impactful changes while operating under pressure. After a 20-year career in the creative industries, from professional guitarist to Managing Director of a global video production studio, Alan knows first-hand what it means to thrive in high-stakes environments while privately battling the invisible challenges of ADHD.

Diagnosed at 40, Alan finally had a framework that explained the contradictions that shaped his life: the ability to lead teams, handle complex projects and thrive in chaos, paired with the exhaustion, inconsistency, and internal friction that never quite made sense. Diagnosis answered the “why”, but the lived experience, person centric ADHD education that Alan received through Gold Mind became the blueprint for building a life that actually worked.

Alan’s experience of ICF-informed ADHD coaching training from Gold Mind Academy, completely reshaped his own feelings towards his ADHD diagnosis, and in turn shaped his mission: to transform the support available to ADHD athletes and high-performing minds, and to redefine ADHD not as a limitation but as a performance advantage when understood properly.

He has graduated through modules 1, 2 and module 3 in Granada, Spain and is looking forward to rejoining the Gold Mind team in person for Module 4 in Cadiz, Spain in 2026.

“When ADHD is embraced, understood properly and the right support offered, we can thrive. This is the Gold Mind effect.”
