About Me
A kinder relationship with yourself. Lovely idea — but is that even possible?
And if pushing yourself harder is how you have got this far, what happens if you stop?
And then there are all those everyday things that can leave you questioning yourself.
Maybe you have spent hours, days, weeks researching the thing, say cheapest flights, finally found them, and somehow the booking still does not happen.
Or you keep saying yes to helping, going out, taking something on, when you wanted or needed to say no, perhaps had even planned to.
Or perhaps you have spent years wondering whether other people find some things as hard as you do: cooking, laundry, studying, paperwork, keeping in touch with friends...
Different things, some seemingly small, but somehow, one by one, they have ended up becoming evidence about you, against you. You are bad at adulting. Selfish. Difficult. Not trying hard enough. Somehow you are the problem.
I know how painful living like this can be, and how powerfully true some of those conclusions can feel.
A decade ago, my head was so full of negative self-talk there was almost nothing else, and something had to change. One of the biggest things I did was listen. Listen to the needs behind, not the negative talk on top. From there, tiny practical thing by tiny practical thing, I rejigged my life from how I actually functioned up — so my life supported who and how I am.
Life got easier, and over time something much bigger changed too: I started to become solid in myself, even when I struggle. And struggle I do. There will always be ADHD struggles. They can be painful, difficult, messy, incomprehensible even — and still say nothing about our worth as humans.
It is delicate work, and so I designed a very deliberate place for this.
Careful Coaching.
This is a space for you to pause, breathe, go slow and ponder, and get carefully curious about what is going on and what might come next. Bring your ADHD, what is hard and what is easy, what matters to you and what you want, your feelings, your ideas, your hopes and your doubts — and whatever else is going on in your life.
You can arrive overwhelmed, unsure where to start, upset, angry, excited, full of ideas or with none at all. It all gets to come, because with a fuller perspective, things shift. What went before makes new sense and what comes next flows from there.
If this sounds like the kind of space you are looking for, you can book a free 40-minute Clarity Call via the link on the Careful Coaching LinkedIn profile.
Or email me with ANY questions if that is where you are at.
