About Lynne
My name is Lynne Tapper and I have been working as a coach with neurodivergent adults since 2018. It was partly through working with ADHD women that I came to recognise my own neurodivergence which prompted me to get some more specialist ADHD coach training through Gold Mind Academy, following my ADHD diagnosis in 2023.
I chose Gold Mind Academy as I wanted experiential learning, in real-time, with fellow participants as this is how I learn at my best. From session one onwards Gold Mind provided models and frameworks for building up an ADHD lens, enabling a greater understanding and acceptance of self. Having completed the Gold Mind specialist training in ADHD coaching I am now clearer on my strengths and what workarounds support the challenges that come with how I experience ADHD.
I get a buzz, when people start to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of how their brains and nervous systems work through an ADHD lens. Seeing people take steps towards connecting with who they really are, understanding their needs, and getting those needs met is extremely rewarding.
I’ve been training adults for most of my career, first as a teacher of English as a foreign language and then through my work as an NHS Speech and Language Therapist running courses for deaf and deafened adult patients and also for the professionals working with them. I love being in a room where people want to learn together and can bounce ideas and develop their thinking and I’m thrilled to be part of the Gold Mind Faculty.
I am married to Paul, a self-diagnosed autist, and we have four grown-up children, who have a variety of neurotypes between them. My family are, and always have been my inspiration for doing the work that I do. Like many others, I want to help build a greater acceptance of the fact that humans process, perceive, and communicate in a wide variety of ways so that we move away from thinking that “one size fits all” when it so clearly does not.
I keep myself well by doing frequent and very short yoga practices, walking my dogs in the woods, and spending time with people who want to talk about things that matter to me. Since doing the Gold Mind courses I have discovered the joy of the solo mini-break as a way to recharge and reset. It’s been a real gift.
