About Me

I have worked on a range of award winning television programmes eventually producing high end drama series for BBC, ITV and C4. Television was the perfect environment for me, fast paced, challenging and creative. I understand the impact of constantly changing schedules, lean budgets, creative blocks, the joys of working collaboratively and alone. I have experienced burn out, limited thinking and know just how easily we trick ourselves out of living our best lives.

I turned to coaching to understand what had caused the burn out and in 2005, trained as a professional co-active coach with CTi and also completed their transformational leadership programme.

It wasn’t until my M.A. in Actor Training and Coaching at Royal Central Speech and Drama and a year long Script Development programme at NFTS that I was diagnosed as Dyslexic and Dyspraxia. It took a few years later before I received my ADHD diagnosis which explained why certain activities were exhausting and why I experienced challenges such as burn out, perfectionism, overwhelm, inability to assess time and capacity, impulsivity and procrastination.

Coaching someone with ND requires a different skillset and understanding. I have specialist coach training for ADHD/ND from ADDCA, Gold Mind and ADHD Foundation.

I work primarily with professional creatives; actors, writers, musicians, producers, performers, artistes, designers and talent managers.

Most of my clients are neurodivergent who know that they are capable of so much more, but they struggle with translating vision into action or finding the motivation to do the simplest task without the threat of an impending deadline.

So much talent is wasted when someone doesn’t understand the impact of different situations, activities, experiences, upon their physical, mental and emotional resources.

Often creatives find themselves stuck in a cycle of dealing with the same challenges over and over again and unable to find the pathway out. The creative process isn’t always an easy path to travel for anyone, let alone with ADHD. At some point it may mean facing fears, uncovering blindspots, dealing with rejection and disappointment.
